2010 Dodge Ram Pickup 1500 Gets Top Ranking!

Edmund’s reviewers ranked the 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 fullsize pickup one of the best in 2010! The Ram had a redesign in 2009 and was upgraded again for 2010. Its heavy-duty coil-spring rear suspension gives it a car-like ride. The same suspension also allows it to do the heavy work expected of a pickup. As an added bonus, this suspension system also saves weight, allowing for the addition of a stabilizer bar that improves off-road performance. Once you’ve given the Ram a test drive, other pickups will seem primitive and rough in comparison.

The #Ram1500 has an attractive interior design, excellent ergonomics and high quality materials. Edmund’s reviewers recommend the largest of the three available engines, the 5.7-liter V8 engine, because it supplies lots of power while still getting the same EPA fuel economy ratings as the less powerful V6 engine.

The tow rating for a properly equipped 5.7-liter V8 is an impressive 10,2050 pounds. For towing, the Ram also features an integrated trailer brake controller, trailer-tow mirrors and a tire-pressure monitor that also keeps tabs on the spare.

When compared with the Chevrolet Silverado, Ford F-150 and Toyota Tundra, the Ram won out because of its strengths in all areas. According to Edmunds, “Simply put, the Ram 1500 is a truck that gets it right in performance, comfort, design and build quality.”
