Special Exhibits
Now through August 6, Soo Sunny Park, a New Hampshire artist, has created a new work that has transformed the Currier’s windowed Putnam Gallery into an immersive sculptural environment that explores the effect of light on visual perception. Luminous sculptural forms fill the gallery space, capturing and reflecting the light which fills the gallery. Pieces are suspended from the ceiling and are placed on the floor. The sculpture changes from minute to minute depending on the time of day, weather conditions and changing seasons, as well as the viewer’s changing perspective as they walk through the installation. This exhibition is the latest project in the Contemporary Connections series that exhibits work by New England artists.
