Charmingfare is a real working farm in Candia, less than a 30-minute drive from Epsom, NH. We at Tim’s Truck Capital and Auto Sales love their many events, especially sheep shearing, which is a real sign of spring.

There’s Lots to See At Charmingfare Farm
Charmingfare Farm has the largest collection of agricultural animals in New Hampshire. They also have black bears, lynx, a cougar, wolf, wolverine and a porcupine. Birds on the farm include a peacock, a trumpeter swan, an eagle owl and other captive birds. There are more than 200 animals from 40 different species.

Things to Do
Special events include a Teddy Bear Picnic, Reptile Day, concerts, magic shows, hayrides, Halloween rides, pumpkin picking, horseback trail rides and sleigh rides in the winter. Early spring features the Sugar Shack, where maple syrup is made.

Sheep Shearing Day - Saturday May 6, 2017
Shearing Day at #CharmingfareFarm is when the Olde English Babydoll sheep get sheared for the season. It’s a sure sign of spring! Visit with the animals and see all the new babies born at the farm this spring. Take a ride on the horse-drawn wagon and the tractor train. Pony rides are also offered. Hours are from 10:00am – 4:00pm. Children under 23 months are free. Tickets can be purchased on their website.

The following activities and demonstrations will be offered continuously throughout the day…Sheep Shearing Demonstrations - Sheep Shearer, Jeff Jordon, will be demonstrating how wool is harvested from the sheep. Wool Craft - Macaroni Kid will be doing craft projects with the kids using wool from the sheep. Spinning - Local spinners will demonstrate how they turn the wool into yarn. Learn about felting and other techniques used for making wool products. Handmade items will be available for sale. Candia Clovers - The local 4H Club Candia Clovers will be conducting a presentation on “WOOL.”
