The Ford F-350 XL is the base level trim for this truck. This trim comes standard with the 6.2-liter V8 engine that gives you 385-horsepower. However, the other two engines are also available on this trim. These other engine options are the 6.7-liter turbodiesel and the 7.3-liter gas V8.
This also gives you standard features like 17-inch wheels, quad-beam halogen headlights, steering wheel audio controls, and the SYNC infotainment system.
You also have features that will help with safety and performance like the tailgate mounted rear view camera, an individual tire pressure monitoring system, an advanced airbag system, AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control, and a SecuriLock Passive Anti-Theft System.
It is also worth noting, there are some package options with some of these different trims. The XL trim features package options like the STX Appearance Package, the XL Value Package, and the F-350 Heavy-Duty Payload Package.
All of the trim options can be found with performance packages like the FX4 Off-Road Package, the Heavy Service Front Suspension Package, and the Snow Plow Prep Package.
The next trim option is the XLT. This trim offers you the same standard and available engines, so the performance is what you want it to be. This trim level also gives you 18-inch aluminum wheels, as well as lane-keeping alert, cruise control, blind spot information system with rear cross traffic alert, and a pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking. You also get the upgraded SYNC 3 system and a 4.2-inch productivity screen.
The XLT trim can also give you package options like the XLT Value Package, the Camper Package, and all trims XLT and above can be found with the Ultimate Trailer Tow Camera System with Pro Trailer Backup Assist Package.
When you upgrade to the Lariat trim, you get the same standard 6.2-liter V8. You also get 18-inch machined cast aluminum wheels, fog lamps, and power heated fold away exterior mirrors.
On the inside, you get features like 10-way power-adjustable front seats, front leather seats, rear premium vinyl seats, and a lockable under-seat storage system. You also get dual-zone automatic climate control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a premium Bang & Olufsen stereo system.
In the King Ranch trim, you have the same standard and available engines. You also get 18-inch King Ranch aluminum wheels, 6-inch accent color cab steps, LED box lighting, a trailer reverse guidance system, a universal garage door opener, and an ultimate trailer tow camera system.
On the inside of this vehicle, you get features like 10-way adjustable front seats with memory, King Ranch leather seating surfaces, a wireless charging pad, a secondary glove box, a navigation system, power adjustable pedals with memory, and a heated steering wheel.
In the Platinum trim, you step up your Ford F-350 with features like 20-inch aluminum wheels, power deployable cab steps, quad beam LED headlamps, LED fog lamps, a satin aluminum grille, a tailgate step, a remote tailgate release and power lock, and advanced cruise control and collision warning with brake support.
The Limited trim option is a great choice for those looking to have a diesel engine option. As mentioned above, this 6.7-liter power stroke turbo diesel is available on other models, but it actually comes standard on the Limited trim. That is a big reason to choose the Limited trim option. However, this trim also offers you some other great features.
Other features on this trim include 20-inch polished aluminum wheels, a twin panel moonroof, a remote start system, and rear heated seats. This vehicle also features Highland tan leather-trimmed front bucket seats with a Highland tan leather heated steering wheel.
Which Ford F-350 is right for you? One important factor to consider when shopping for an F-350 is the performance you will want. The engine and performance capabilities should be a large part of your purchase decision because the F-350 is a heavy-duty truck used for heavy-duty towing, hauling, and working. That may be a reason to consider the Limited trim that comes standard with the 6.7-liter turbodiesel, but the other trim options can be found with the turbodiesel engine option, as well.
