The Toyota Tacoma is a great truck option to give you a good performance and some nice interior features. This truck also has some off-road capabilities in certain models so that is something to watch out for.
When choosing your Toyota Tacoma truck, you have multiple trim options to choose from, but there are also different cab styles and bed options to think about, as well as the engine you want for your truck. Below, you can learn about the different features found on all the trim levels, but first, let’s check out some of your cab, bed, and engine options.
Once you have figured out the type of cab and bed you are looking for, as well as the engine performance, you can check out the different trim levels that each offer you different interior features and styling options. Check out the different trim levels below.
The SR is the base trim level for the Toyota Tacoma. This trim level gives you a lot of great standard features. You can choose the cab style you want for this vehicle, but it comes with standard cloth upholstery and four-way manually adjustable front seats. You also get features like an infotainment system with a 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Amazon Alexa, Bluetooth, three USB ports, and a 4.2-inch instrument cluster display. You also get some good driver assistance features standard like forward collision warning, lane departure warning, forward automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and a rearview camera.
This base trim offers you some good standard features, so it can be a great option for people who want a Tacoma, but they do not want to spend a lot of money.
The next trim level option is the SR5. This option gives you a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, as well as a leather-wrapped steering wheel and keyless entry. You also get features like a larger 8-inch touchscreen, fog lights, a navigation system, and rear parking sensors. This trim steps up the overall feel of the interior and gives you some extra features from the base trim.
This trim level adds a few features like a navigation system, wireless device charging, keyless entry, a power outlet, and a leather-wrapped shift knob. The other features that you get in this trim option depend on the cab option that you choose. When you choose the Access Cab, you get features like dual-zone automatic climate control and heated front seats. The Double Cab model gives you all of those features along with leather upholstery and a moonroof.
This trim level is for those people that are looking for more of an off-road option. The TRD off-road builds upon the previous Sport model with more off-road features like Bilstein shocks, a locking rear differential, an off-road suspension, multi-terrain select and crawl control, and a Multiview monitor.
The Limited trim is your next option. This trim is more high-end on the inside. It offers you features like standard leather upholstery. You also get a moonroof, a premium JBL stereo, automatic high-beam headlights, and dual-zone automatic climate control. This trim level also adds some safety technology features to look out for you and your passengers. This safety technology includes blind spot monitoring, a surround-view monitor, and rear cross traffic alert.
If a nice interior is important to you, this trim could be a great option because it offers you features like dual-zone automatic climate control, leather upholstery, and a premium stereo.
Your final trim option for the Toyota Tacoma is the TRD Pro. This will be your most expensive trim option, but it will have the most features for you, so if you are looking for something top-of-the-line, this is a great option. This trim will have features like the TRD sport-tuned suspension, Fox shocks, LED fog lights, a front skid plate, upgraded styling features, and more.
Which of these trim options is the right one for you? As you can see, they all offer you different features. The trim you choose depends on your needs and wants. For example, if you are looking to do some off-roading, the TRD Off-Road tri or even the TRD Pro trim could be good options. If you are looking for a more affordable option, your base trim still offers you good features and capability. There are also appearance packages that can be added to your Toyota Tacoma to give you different exterior styles like the Utility Package, SX Package, or Truck Exterior Package. Decide which features are most important to you, and then, pick the trim that gives you what you want.
