In used cars with manual transmission, buyers need to inspect the clutch and the clutch pedal as well. A worn out clutch is an expensive item to repair with regard to both, parts and labor. So, watch out for wear in the clutch.

Take a look at the clutch pedal’s left side. This will tell you if the previous owner was resting his/her foot on the clutch pedal or not. If they were resting their foot on the clutch pedal, there’s bound to be issues.

Again, a test drive will come in handy here too. A test drive will tell you how the clutch operates. A worn out clutch will show noticeable signs of trouble.
