Safety Features

The 2014 Toyota Tundra has a wide array of safety features to prevent and minimize accidents. These include safety technologies such as a standard backup camera and Bluetooth on all models, blind spot monitoring and a cross-traffic alert system (the last two are found only on the Platinum and 1794 Edition trims). All Tundra models feature Smart Stop brake override technology. This unique technology automatically reduces engine power under certain conditions when both brake and accelerator pedals are pressed together. All Tundras are equipped with eight standard airbags, including front-seat-mounted side airbags, front and rear roll-sensing side curtain airbags, driver and front outboard passenger airbags with an Advanced Airbag System, as well as driver and front outboard passenger knee airbags.

Trim Packages

The 2014 Toyota Tundra was offered in five different trim levels, each with its unique look inside and out. At Tim’s Truck Capital we can find just the one you want.

The SR Package "work duty" trim is the base-level trim. Next is the SR5 "professional gear" package with chrome accents and contrasting fabrics. The Limited is Toyota’s "active premium" trim with leather seats and wood trim. The Limited grade also has an eight-way power driver seat, standard chrome door handles, outer mirrors, 20-inch alloy wheels and a deck rail system. The Platinum premium package comes with perforated black leather seats, stylized chrome accents and upscale door and instrument panel inserts. The top trim 1794 Edition boasts a western-themed appearance.

All 2014 trims have the same engine and transmission options, a smooth, better ride quality and handling. Tundra designers also incorporated a more stylized tailgate that includes an integrated spoiler for improved fuel economy.
