We thought we’d share some insights and information with you so you can make an informed decision.

Synthetic oil is great when it comes to both form and function. It lasts longer and can handle extreme temperatures much better than conventional oil. Because it can last up to three times longer than conventional oil, it’s less harmful to the environment because you’re dumping 15-24 quarts of oil less each year. Synthetic oil is more expensive, but because you have to change the oil less, it averages out with conventional oil.

With conventional oil, you have to do an oil change every 3,000 miles or three months. With today’s synthetics, you can go up to 10,000-15,000 miles or six months! Synthetics run cleaner and produce less resistance in your engine. You’ll get added horsepower and overall engine efficiency.

Most vehicle manufacturers will recommend which type of oil to use. You’ll find this information in your owner’s manual.
