  • A 6.2-liter V8 engine that produces 420-horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.

The Chevy Silverado can commonly be found with a six-speed, eight-speed, or a 10-speed automatic transmission. The total towing capacity of the Silverado 1500 depends on the model and engine, but it can go up to around 12,200 pounds of towing capacity. The payload capacity can be around 2,300 pounds.

The Toyota Tundra can also work hard for you. This vehicle does not have as many engine options, but it can normally be found with a couple of V8 engine options.

This truck gives you a long bed that is 8 feet long, a standard bed at 6 feet, 6 inches, and a short bed at 5 feet, 8 inches.

The exterior of the Toyota Tundra is strong and capable with some off-road features on some of the trim levels like heavy-duty shock absorbers, skid plates, and 10-inches of ground clearance. The total length of the Tundra can range from around 19 feet to almost 21 feet long. There are also three bed options in the Toyota Tundra. The long bed is 8 feet, 1 inch; the standard bed is 6 feet, 6 inches; and the short bed is 5 feet, 6 inches.

Interior and Technology

On the inside of the Chevy Silverado 1500, you can find seating for three to six people, depending on the cab option. The regular cab has bench seating for three people. You can have seating for up to six people with the double cab or crew cab option, but the crew cab option has more rear passenger room. When it comes to these interior features, you have options like leather upholstery, heated seats, ventilated seats, and more, depending on the model.

The Chevy Silverado 1500 also has a lot of great technology features for you. This vehicle gives you an infotainment system with a 7 or 8-inch touchscreen. You also get smartphone connectivity with Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. You can also get features like a Wi-Fi hotspot, wireless device charging, a navigation system, USB ports, remote start, push-button start, and more.

On the interior of the Toyota Tundra, you can find seating for five or six people. The double cab and crew max cab options can be found with first-row bucket seats or a front row bench seat to change the seating capacity. The crew max cab gives you more rear seating space, and you can have interior upgrades like leather upholstery, ventilated seats, and heated seats, depending on the model.

When it comes to technology, you have an infotainment system with a 6.1-inch or a 7-inch touchscreen. There are also features like Bluetooth, USB ports, a navigation system, remote start, a 12-speaker JBL sound system.

These trucks both have nice interiors, but the Chevy Silverado does feel a bit more high-end with some extra interior features.

Safety

Standard safety features in the Chevy Silverado 1500 depend on the specific model and model year, but most models come with a rearview camera standard.
