The Nissan Sentra Packs Power into a Small Package

Many families are learning how much they can get out of small sedans, and the Nissan Sentra is the perfect example of why. Offering a rich feature package grounded in comfort, style, and rock-solid performance, the Nissan Sentra has earned its place as one of New Hampshire’s favorite compact cars. Want to learn more about these cars or take one for a test drive? Keep on reading or visit our dealership in Epsom to get in-depth information for any vehicle on our lot.

Sleek Looks and a Comfortable Ride

The Nissan Sentra brings a lot of great options to the table when it comes to design and style. Its stylish exterior offers striking contours, a well-sculpted hood, and an attractive V-Motion grille that are accented by a range of great color options. Turn heads with Red Alert, keep it cool with Deep Blue Pearl, or ride in style with the Aspen White Tricoat. Regardless of the paint color you choose, we guarantee your Sentra will look great wherever you go.

The Sentra might seem compact compared to Nissan’s SUV offerings, but it cuts a figure that feels wide and athletic. The spacious views from each seat definitely help with this, but we are also impressed with the 39.4 inches of headroom in the front and 36.7 inches for those riding in the backseat. Leg room is 42.5 inches for the front and 37.4 inches in the back, respectable numbers for a small sedan. Plus, with 15 cubic feet of cargo space you can complete all your errands in one trip without worry.

Trim Levels

Modern Sentra sedans come in six available trim levels:

  • S
  • SV
  • SR
  • SR Turbo
  • Nismo
  • SL

Nissan SentraThe base Sentra S has the 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine with a six-speed manual transmission. When equipped with the Xtronic CVT transmission, the starting price jumps up a bit. Superior Safety Features

Nissan SentraSafety features are critical regardless of which vehicle you choose. We like to think of them in terms of active and passive features. The Sentra is a sedan with a wealth of available passive safety features, which form the safety foundation of this great car. This starts with the body of the vehicle itself, which is made of a high-tensile steel and designed to help divert impact energy in the event of a collision. To complement this strong body, modern Nissan Sentra models have an Advanced AirBag System, which strategically places airbags in locations throughout the vehicle, including traditional locations, and the sides.

What about active features? The great thing is that you can purchase a Sentra already equipped with Nissan's entire Safety Shield 360 suite. This collection of active safety technology includes a range of technologies that work together to keep you safe. Advanced sensors monitor the front, side, and rear of the sedan at all times. These include Lane Departure Warnings, Pedestrian Detection, Automatic-Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Monitoring, and more. These features are available across multiple trim levels. We recommend looking at the Nissan Sentra cars in our inventory to see the exact safety features they come with.

Additionally, newer Nissan Sentra sedans also have a Vehicle Dynamic Control (also known as VDC) system that uses various sensors to monitor driver inputs and vehicle motion to help steer the vehicle and apply the correct brake pressure in difficult driving conditions. Pair this with the available Traction Control System (abbreviated TCS) and you will have the best possible handling available on a Nissan car. Meaning your Sentra will be working overtime to keep you in control, no matter the weather conditions or terrain you may face.

All In on Technology

You'll also find advanced technologies on offer. Its easy-to-use touchscreen interface provides easy access to all your favorite media. This display is user-friendly and offers coveted options like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and more.

Starting on the SV trim level, drivers will find a variety of exciting features, like the available Nissan Navigation System and Nissan Voice Recognition. These options take the standard features up to the next level. No matter which trim level you choose, the 2018 Nissan Sentra comes with hands-free text messaging, Bluetooth® Hands-Free Phone, and Siri® Eyes Free. each of these systems make it easier to send and receive calls and text messages, regardless of which smartphone you own.

Drivers looking for premium audio, will likewise find options like an eight-speaker Bose system available on upper trim levels. On the other trim levels, drivers can experience sound from either four or six speakers. To ensure that you don’t miss the best part of your favorite songs and podcasts as you move from the trail to the highway, the 2018 Nissan Sentra has standard speed-sensitive volume control.

Efficient Engine Options with Surprising Performance

On top of its great features, the Nissan Sentra can also provide a pair of solid powertrains. Its engine options start with a 124 horsepower 1.8-liter inline-4 capable of 29/37 miles per gallon. And if you're looking for something more robust? The Sentra can also deliver a more powerful turbocharged option capable of 188 horsepower and 27/33 miles per gallon.
